Pomona Aquaculture's Principal David Asher is a highly experienced practical aquaculturalist having worked extensively with both finfish and redclaw crayfish. He has designed; constructed and managed both pond based and tank based (RAS) farming systems.
 
The Noosa farm is used by both Queensland and New South Wales TAFE as a training venue and has been used by the Queensland DPI as an example of industry best practice for a number of years.
 
David is an experienced teacher/industry trainer having taught aquaculture part-time for several years for both Queensland and New South Wales TAFE.
 
David is also an experienced business manager and has been involved in developing, administering and auditing ISO 9000 Series Quality Assurance Systems.
 
David's formal qualifications include:
Diploma of the Seafood Industry (Aquaculture Stream)
Certificate IV in Training and Workplace Assessment
Certificate III in Tropical Aquaculture.
